The workshop took place the first two days in the Elizabeth Wirth Music Building, 8th floor, Faculty Council Room at McGill University, 527 Sherbrooke Street West. The third day, it was held at l'Université de Montréal, Faculté de musique, 220 av. Vincent d'Indy.

ACTOR members gathered for an initial discussion on the goals of the project according to each sub-axis. Various topics crossing sub-axes were also covered such as 'Orchestration taxonomies,' 'Spatialization and room acoustic effects,' 'Development deployment of computer-aided orchestration,' etc.

The workshop was organized into an administrative plenary session on Day 1 and breakout working groups on sub-axes on Day 1 and on cross-axis topics on Day 2, with a summary session of these groups in plenary session at the end of Day 2. Day 3 was dedicated to more general issues.
