André Martins de Oliveira has been the Project Coordinator of ACTOR since November of 2020. Prior to that, he was the Conferences & Special Events Coordinator of the Centre for the Interdisciplinary Research in Music Media and Technology (CIRMMT), also hosted at the Schulich School of Music, at McGill University.
André has a background in flute playing and music education as well as many years of experience as a project manager. From 2010-2016, he was involved in a music program for underprivileged kids where he coordinated a team of 10+ instrument teachers and worked on the formation of 4 music ensembles, including orchestras and bands.
His current research includes the investigation of ways to optimize flute practice through the application of exercise physiology principles.
